I’m always so tempted to buy new kitchen toys whenever my new cooking idea comes up.

There are just so much out there in the market like blenders, food processors, panini presser etc, but they all comes in only one function, and end up your kitchen is piled up with machines that you may not even use twice a year.

Earlier on i was tempted to grill steaks at home so I got myself a grill pan, but other than grilling steak I hardly use it.

And then later I tasted the difference between a panini pressed sandwich and a toasted sandwich, I was again tempted to get a panini presser, and then I came up with this idea.

Why not grill and press my sandwich on my grill pan?

– Turkey sandwich with avocado and wasabi dressing –

you need:
– 2 slices of bread
– pinch of salt and pepper
– 5 slices of turkey breasts
– 1 piece of lettue
– 1/4 ripe avocado
– 2 slices of tomatoes
– 2 teaspoons of wasabi flavoured sauce for sandwich
– 1 teaspoon of maple syrup

you will:
1. spread the avocado with a small spatula on one piece of bread
2. sprinkle some salt and pepper
3. place turkey breasts and then top it with tomatoes
4. then mix the wasabi sauce with maple syrup and spread on the other piece of bread
5. assemble the sandwich and grill it on a preheated grill pan, press and grill one side after the other carefully using a spatula

– Green leaf lettuce salad with mixed berries and avocado –

What you need:
– green leaf lettuce
– bluberries
– strawberries
– pomogranate
– avocado
– pinch of salt and pepper
– balsamic vinaigrette
– olive oil
(amount used on the materials depends on your own preference)

What you do:
1. wash, dry and cut the lettuce
2. slice strawberries and avocado (or dice it if you like!) and prepare blueberries and pomegranate
3. to ensure freshness of the fruits, mix and toss the lettuce with ith olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette before adding the fruits
4. sprinkle some salt and pepper





例如為了煎一塊有坑紋的牛扒,我特意買了一個grill pan,雖然可以用來煎其他肉類,不過用途就只有-煎。


最後利用一些小創意既可以將原本用來煎牛扒的grill pan,利用鑊剷將三文治小心反覆按壓於grill pan上就輕易做出圖中效果。



6.最後放上預熱後的grill pan,小心利用鑊剷將三文治兩面反覆按壓。

p.s. 避免使用生菜硬的莖部,這樣會比較難將三文治夾好


-Balsamic Vinaigrette

3.為了保持水果新鮮,避免直接跟醋料一起拌,所以先將Balsamic Vinaigrette跟橄欖油與生菜拌好然後再下其他材料
